Congrats to all the juniors who got their scholarships. *insert cackling, evil laughter*

To those who didn't get anything, or who didn't get what they wanted, real sorry and real hard luck, guys. Keep in mind that life isn't always fair and things sometimes happen for a reason. Keep on trying though, and maybe soon you'll get what you deserve.

Today, while walking at the Desa Park City, I met one of those top scorers (Names shall be withheld for privacy).

Me (trying to be a big brother and nice): So how's studies and the hostel so far?
TS: Everything is fine. But the hostel is umm...
Me: What's wrong with it?
TS: It's so dirty! There aren't even tiles on the floor... And the bathroom is disgusting...
Me: Why don't you clean it then?
TS: It's so dirty and I'm afraid to clean it!
Me (trying to be rational, understanding his annoyance): Don't worry... It's only one year...
TS: One year is a long time...

I think this guy is a perfect example of how some people never appreciate what's been given to them. Come on, you're going to the United States, Ong Ka Ting himself fought for your scholarship, you might be the next Ivy Leaguer - Something that might never have happened if you hadn't got the scholarship... And you're complaining about the dirty toilets? Give me a break.

I say: If you can't take care of yourself, can't clean up the bathroom, want tiles so badly, then give up the scholarship... And you can stay in your Mummy's house with your home-cooked food and your clean floors... And miss the opportunity to make this nation proud...

Some juniors are disappointing...
