the F word

Many of us use the F word without giving much thought to its meaning. We usually take the word for granted and seldom delve deeper into its meaning. Have we ever wondered who deserves to be called by the F word? Or do we just say everyone is an F? Who really are the true Fs? Yes - it is a word we very much take for granted. Are we a good F? Do we act as how good Fs should?

Thinking over this popular word made me realise that many people do not deserve to be called Fs. Their character and personality just do not do the F word enough justice for them to be given such honour. F people are nice, they are kind - they are there and they try to be there; sometimes going all out to be there. They are true Friends. I have been lucky enough to meet many who are true examples of good Friends. They really live up to such honour the F word gives them.

I will not put any names down here - but I would like to thank them. Thank them for criticising my work and me, thank them for telling me my zipper is open, thank them for accompanying me on my way home every day, thank them for going all the way out to get something for me, thank them for being sincere and true, for giving me their trust and their time, for helping me out and pulling me up, giving me 10 cents when I needed it most, or gladly lending me their phone when I run out of credit. I want to thank you if you're reading this - for the warmth you put into my cold clammy hands, for the inspiration you put in my dry grey cells, for the companionship you provide to my lonely self. You are so few yet so overflowing with genuinely and human compassion. Thank You.

You pals are really true Fs!

Who cares if you're black, poor or sometimes so naive? Being that F to me, you're as white as angels, as rich as millionaires (in spirit) and so full of wisdom when it comes to being nice.
