I travelled to KL today.
And I raised my eyebrows in finding Kuala Lumpur listed as an Alpha City, which puts it ahead of other cities such as Chicago, Istanbul, San Francisco, Rome, Barcelona etc in terms of provision of professional services and abundance of regional MNC headquarters.
If cities are ever to be measured by 'grime, dirt, political funnies, cultural idiosyncrasies, social paradoxes' etc, we ought to rank number one in the world.
